10 Months

Jenny is 10 months months old now. She is still growing well. In fact, next to her new cousins she reminds me of a baby godzilla even.

At 9 and a half months, Jenny started crawling. She didn't like it at first and would only crawl if there was a toy nearby she really wanted to reach or if she was crawling to a person. Now though, that she's got the hang of it, she really likes being able to get around on her own.

She still enjoys practicing walking. She'll have us walk around holding her hands; she'll sometimes walk around holding just one hand too. She'll also stand leaning against the couch and take a falling step toward me and will do that when "walking" between myself and David.

Jenny is still an incredibly happy and social baby. In the last few weeks she has grown a lot in her ability to interact socially which has been fun. For instance if you pull her hand to you and kiss her hand a few times she'll start extending her hand out to you for more kisses. She'll do the same type of thing when you kiss her on the cheek too. She also thinks high fives are hilariously fun. In the last week or so she has even initiated playing peek-a-boo twice (peeking behind a semi-open door and with a hat she was holding). It really, really cute and it makes her crack up. She has started waving too which is really cute and also makes her really happy when you wave back at her. She's still really social with strangers. She loves it when strangers give her attention. She'll smile at them and then shyly snuggle into my shoulder but then immediately turn back and smile at them again. She's such a great baby and we're so glad to have her.

Playing at the Park

These two both love the park. Jenny is all smiles and giggles when you put her in the little swing and getting to ride in the swings next to her big sister makes it even more fun. We just started doing underdog with Tessa on the swings too and she loves that. It's fun having the weather get a little better so we can start going to the park more regularly again.

Road tripping

Heading down to Zions we open a big bag of sun chips and all start eating them. Tessa really liked them and I was apparently, having too many of them. Tessa first told me to not eat them all. She then proceeded to tell me that Dad, Jenny and I weren't hungry - only Tessa. When that didn't work she told me that I was getting a bellyache from eating too many and then that my breath smelled like chips. :P Silly girl. We may have to start buying sun chips for her from now on.
